Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Northwest Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme. The programme provides a consistent regional approach to coastal process monitoring, providing information of the development of strategic shoreline management plans, coastal defence strategies and operational management of coastal protection and flood defence.

The programme is managed on behalf of the North West and North Wales Coastal Groups and is funded by The Environment Agency, in partnership with the maritime Local Authorities.

Programme Background

Project Management

The North West programme is managed by a task group on behalf of the North West and North Wales Coastal Group. This task group includes representatives from the local maritime authorities, the Environment Agency, Natural England and Lancaster University.
