Wave parameters are recorded using a Datawell Directional Waverider Mk III owned by RWE Innogy UK Limited, who have kindly agreed to make their real-time and archived data freely available to other users via this website.
The buoy was deployed on 27 April 2007, at which time the magnetic declination at the site was 3.86° west, changing by 0.16° east per year. Wave direction is reported following the nautical convention, meaning that the direction is where the waves come from, measured clockwise from magnetic north.
